Stardust Science Labs is seeking a talented, self-motivated AI engineer to develop an agentic workflow and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) system to support state-of-the-art scientific/engineering research activities. The selected candidate will report to and work directly with the Stardust leadership. Start date: September 2025.

Core responsibilities include: 

• Co-design,  implement agentic workflow for scientific queries
• Develop a Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) framework using specialized scientific literature aligned with Stardust core expertise
• Implement high-quality test suite and evaluation tools
• Collaborate with the Stardust team regularly

Required qualifications and skills:

• Programming languages (e.g., Python, C++)
• Experience with agentic AI tools & platforms (e.g., LangChain)
• Experience with RAG tools
• Experience with collaboration tools (e.g., GitHub)
• Master’s degree or higher in science or engineering discipline

Preferred Experience and Certifications:

• Prior work in scientific or/and engineering projects
• Background in statistics
• Contributions to open-source AI projects
• Certifications in AI
